Workout

I know there is a lot of workout and exercise advice out there right now and everything seems different and confusing. For the most part I think that everything works, as long as you are moving around you will burn calories, which leads to weight loss. However, I never see workout routines that include sprinting. Sprinting is not just for athletes! I think this is the key ingredient to a workout routine if you are trying to lose weight and get lean muscle mass.  Sprinting will get your heat rate up and you will get sweating. You will expend much more energy than when you jog for miles and miles. Also, sprinting will cut your muscles up more so than jogging but will make you lean, not giving you the bulk that weight lifting does. If you do a dynamic warm-up (will be explained later day), do ten 100 yard sprints at full speed and finish with a cool down and static stretch; you just got one great workout in and it can be done in less than 25 minutes. Believe me sprinting is the best compromise between the weight loss of cardio and the strength of weight lifting. I know it is hard but you will spend much less time working out! Try it out, three sprint workouts per week and I guarantee you will be feeling great in a month.
