Okay people, just bringing you some thoughts, stats, and relatively entertaining information around the NFL...
Let's start out in Kansas City, where Jamaal Charles is the leagues 3rd leading rusher with 64 less attempts then leader Arian Foster of the Texans. Charles is also averaging and eye-popping 6.2 yards per carry this season. The only other players in NFL history to do so throughout the course of a season were Jim Brown and Barry Sanders, both in the Hall of Fame. Great pass receiver as well. #Underrated
Mines well stay with the Chiefs and talk about Matt Cassel. Cassel, who has 23 touchdowns to 4 interceptions to go along with 2,503 pass yards and a 98.4 QB rating is turning into a great quarterback, and a trustworthy one at that. I wonder why? Sitting behind and learning from Tom Brady probably has nothing to do with it...right. #Underrated
Shady McCoy of the Eagles has 67 receptions this year out of the backfield. He is tied for 7th in the NFL in receptions and ranks first among all running-backs. The next closest running back who perhaps is the biggest suprise of this year is the Browns Peyton Hills who has 53, which ties him for 29th in receptions. McCoy also has 9 touchdowns.Talk about a sophomore showcase huh? #Underrated
Also stay in Philly and look at Asante Samuel, even though he is one of the leagues worst tacklers, Samuel sits alone for most interceptions this year with 7. He also missed two games and will miss his third this week vs. Dallas. Talk about worth the money, when this guy is on the field, that's all he is, money turnovers. Cha-ching! #$$$$$turnovers
Aaron Hernandez, TE for the New England Patriots ranks first in NFL rookie tight ends in receiving yards with 513. He also has 4 touchdowns. Rob Gronkowski, also a Patriots rookie tight end has 310 yards receiving with 6 touchdowns. Tom Brady spreads the ball well, as you see him develop all his young targets into solid players, much like Peyton Manning.

Nnamdi Asomugha is the AFC's leading Pro-Bowl vote getter at the cornerback position with 197,746 votes. I thought it was holdout man, self proclaimed best in the league, Mr. Darrelle "Revis-Island" Revis who was the best CB in football? Asomugha is lockdown. No one gets to watch much. #Underrated
Ndamukong Suh of the Lions is the only rookie to lead his group in Pro-Bowl voting with 235, 697 votes. Many believe Suh will win the Defensive Rookie of the Year award, he has single-handedly transformed a Lions defense into something to watch out for. #NFLrookies
Terrell Owens, formally known as "Batman" has 71 receptions for 961 yards and 9 touchdowns this season. Having a great year after coming off nearly career lows in a horrible one-year stay in Buffalo. No wonder we haven't heard any T.O. outbursts in the media, because he's getting the ball to keep him happy even though his Bengals are having a HORRIBLE year. Carson Palmer isn't the QB everyone imagined. #ComebackYear
Devin McCourtey of the Patriots has 6 interceptions this year, tied for 2nd in the NFL, and first among rookies. Bellichek really put together a great draft class this year, McCourtey is the best product on the field for Patriots defense. #NFLrookies
Jordan Shipley of the Bengals quietly has 543 receiving yards which is good for 3rd among all rookies. He also has 2 touchdowns. While Cincy is throwing the ball alot, Shipley could develop into a decent slot receiver, much like Wes Welker of the Patriots. #NFLrookies
Michael Vick of the Eagles is first in all 2011 Pro-Bowl voting. Who would have thought that? Vick, to go along with his 15 touchdowns to 2 interceptions has 467 yards rushing for 6 touchdowns. He still could have his best season both passing and rushing this year if he remains healthy. Vick for comeback player of the year? Still in running for MVP is Tom Brady decides to cool off anytime soon. #ProBowl
Wes Welker of the Patriots is the only non-kicker to successfully make an extra-point or field goal this year. The only other player to attempt is Ndamukong Suh of the Detroit Lions. #Interesting
I came across a cornerback on the Carolina Panthers by the name of Captain Munnerlyn. I just found that name weird. #Interesting
Now onto my most last and final, but most intriguing find, Chris Ivory of the Saints and LeGarrette Blount of the Buccaneers are the NFL's top 2 rushing rookies. Who saw this coming? Yes, you are asking...that is the same LeGarrette Blount who punched out a Boise St. player last year after a loss in Boise, and the same Blount who Jeff Fischer of the Titans cut this year in training camp. But even more suprising, both are UNDRAFTED. Ivory out of Tiffin(wherever that is?) and Blount from Oregon, both have 5 touchdowns this season, and are big running backs, each weighing in at over 220 pounds. This is perhaps the NFL's biggest suprise this year after we saw 3 running backs go in the first round; C.J. Spiller of Buffalo who has been relatively quiet when healthy, Ryan Mathews who has been NOTHING of what San Diego fans hoped he would be, and Jahvid Best of the Lions who is having a solid year. Touche Mr. Blount!
Oh yeah...remember when Broncos ex-coach Josh McDaniels traded Peyton Hillis for Brady Quinn? I'm sure Denver fans don't want to. That was Spy-gate-retarded.
In other notes:
Phillies signed LHP Dennys Reyes to 1-year contract.
Royals signed Outfielders Jeff Francouer and Melky Cabrera to 1-year deals. Looks like theres now a reason to hate the Royals
Flyers lost 5-4 after blowing 4-1 3rd period lead last night to San Jose Sharks.
Urban Meyer has resigned as head coach of the Florida Gators
