As you get older it is harder to have heroes, but it is sort of necessary.
- Ernest Hemingway
I love this quote because although I am a fan of being an individual and not imitating anyone else, I do believe that we become who we are by who we look up to. Even has we grow older in life we must look to role models in our lives or in history and try to emulate what they did best. Particularly by thinking big and looking at people in history who really changed the world in a positive way. I love biographies because I really try to get inside the head of successful people. I have found that no one is perfect and most successful people were personally flawed, maybe even more so than the average person. This is not discouraging though because this proves that despite our shortcomings we can still be productive people in society. Everyone is human and has their own flaws but dwelling on these will lead to inaction, overcome flaws by acting on improving something or someone. Think about your favorite people from history or your favorite celebrities, athletes, ect., this will let you know where your passions lie and possibly give you an idea for action. -Buzzy
