Eagles/Cowboys Recap

Another big win in the book for the Birds, 30-27 in Big D though this one wasn't easy. Michael Vick was his usual self in this one, hooking up with speedster Desean Jackson for a 91 yard touchdown pass that seemingly ended the game and was the biggest play of the birds season so far. This endzone celebration was a casue of much controversy this week. Personally, I didn't really care. As long as he didn't drop the ball before the endzone this time!!

A few Notes I took during the Game:
  • Has anyone noticed the large number of young players on the Eagles Defense. I counted 5 rookies who saw some good playing time (Nate Allen, Brandon Graham, Travard Lindley, Jamar Chayney, Kurt Coleman)
  • Bradley's injury was a big loss that may have been overshadowed by the big win. Not sure how confident I am in a rookie 7th round pick to come in in December and man the middle of this defense. Omar Gaither and Akeen Jordan have never really impressed me.
  • The hits on Vick are starting to worry me. The guy is tough but he isn't unbreakable
  • What a season Lesean McCoy is having. 149 on the ground and iced the game in he fourth quarter. Starting to look like a pro-bowl running back
  • Todd Herremans did his best Mike Bartrum impression scoring a touchdown on a tackle eligible. He also had a huge block on Mccoy's game sealing run.
  • This team just has a certain swagger about them that I haven't seen from recent Eagles' teams. Its like everyone on the team expects to win every single game. Never seen Andy more fired up then he was after Vick took that big hit. I think he senses something special too.
  • A lot of Chad Hall in this one. Don't know why Jeromoe Harrison never saw more carries after his 100+ yard performace against the Redskins.
  • Tashard Choice asking Vick for an autograph after the game. Who really cares? Vick was an NFL icon for the Falcons when Choice was growing up in Atlanta going to high school. I would have asked him too

Big Game next week in the Meadowlands that will seemingly decide the NFC East

I have been swamped with finals but look for my week 15 picks in the coming day or so.
