NBA

The NBA is ridiculous. I watched the Magic-Trailblazers game last night and it was a testament to how bad the league has become. The Magic were up by at least 15 points in the first quarter and ended up losing by double digits. This just shows complete lack of effort and apathy for a game to include swings like this in 48 minutes. The NBA shows what happens when you go for quantity over quality. There are simply too many games and the players cannot be expected to give full effort every night. My favorite competitor in the NBA is Kobe Bryant. Yet, even his team just got over a little slump where they lost to teams they are well below their talent level, yet this is acceptable because over the course of the season it means nothing. Obviously, its all set up for more money.
However, I think that they should cut the season in half. I believe they could significantly raise ticket prices because this would force teams to make every night count. I would keep the length of the season about the same also so that there could be games on television every night and everyone would be able to see all the teams play a good amount of times. This would raise interest and improve the quality of the games. The extra time between games would also cut down on injuries and ensure that all the best players are 100% for all the games. Its bad enough that most of the best talent is concentrated in only about half the teams in the league and the amount of games just makes almost nothing until the playoffs really matter. - Buzzy

  1. I actually have enjoyed watching the NBA this year more so than past years. There are some good teams out there. There are about 15 good teams the majority of them in the west. you just gotta catch the right game. it is all about money your right, as a result, they would never cut the games down. the nba is probably the worst in pro sports in the way its become a business. really the only challenge for the good teams is to show up every night, no body does it anymore, especially when they play shitty teams they always play down.

  2. I do agree that this year is a lot better than it has been in the past. I do enjoy the NBA I guess my language was a little too strong but its just frustrating because I think the NBA has the best athletes of any league but like you said its the worst in all pro sports. They really should lower the game count but like you said they will never do it.
